Voted one of the best images of 2010 by imgur, the comic Dog by Enzo was viewed more than 500,000 times in two months. Enzo is also the artist who does webcomic Cheer Up, Emo Kid – but he might never strike a nerve with more people than with this ode to his pet.

It’s quite a long read, but it’s worth it. And, yes, “something flew in your eye” at the end.

No, this is not one of those porno-re-imaginings. Instead, artist/writer MF_Doom wondered what it’d be like if the legendary video game character grew up in the real world. The result is gritty, depressing, and awesome.
